HAIR TYPES

Everyone has their own hair type and texture!

There are several types of hair, which requires each of us to have a hair routine adapted to it. We know that finding your routine and mastering the right moves can sometimes be difficult. This is why it is important to know your hair well to have the right information about it. In this article you will find all the information you need to recognize your hair type.

Let's go !

First of all, the trick to identifying your hair type is to observe it when it is wet. It is possible that you identify several types of hair but…. do not panic because it often happens that some people have several types of hair on their head. If this is your case, it will be necessary to identify the type to which corresponds the majority of your hair.

Below is a visual to give you a representation of the different hair types and textures.

Type 1 is for straight, straight hair

Type 1A Type 1B Type 1C
Fine hair that tangles very easily
Fine hair but with more “hold”
The hair is thicker and more resistant. The hair is much shinier, thanks to the sebum which reaches the ends more easily.

We don't forget you girls 😉 and we recommend you try the Ultra Rich range which is ideal for the maintenance of your hair thanks to its shea butter infusion. This range works wonders on all hair types whether curly, straight or relaxed.

For shiny, enhanced and deliciously scented hair, discover our range Glow-Up . Our specially designed products give you a unique hair experience by giving them radiant shine and a sublime appearance.

Type 2 is for wavy hair, which tends to be thick. They have an “S” shape

Type 2A
Type 2B Type 2C
Type 2A represents fine hair with a slight “S” wave on the lengths, indefinite waves and with very little volume and smoothness at the root.
Hair with an "S" wave as well, but a little more defined than type 2A. This type can sometimes represent slight frizz at the roots. Hair is easy to comb, but curl definition never lasts long.

The hair in this category is thicker and more voluminous and with always “S” curls from the root, and much more defined. Frizz is often present in this type of hair.

RECOMMENDED RANGE: GLOW-UP and SMOOTH & SHINE (if you like to straighten your hair or if you have had Brazilian straightening).

Type 3 brings together hair with large curls, the waves of which depend on the curve adopted by the hair. This type is fragile and does not support external aggressions such as cold or pollution.

RECOMMENDED RANGE: PERFECT CURLS

Type 3A Type 3B Type 3C
Type 3A hair forms very well defined and flexible “S” shaped curls. Generally the hair is shiny and has big curls. It's hard to maintain shine on this type of hair and frizz is often the problem.
Type 3B hair has many medium sized curls, with a springy shape. The curls are well defined and the texture varies from person to person. Some have multiple textures. Hydration is important for this type of hair, since it is what allows curls to stay defined.
Type 3C forms corkscrew loops the circumference of the loops is roughly similar to that of a pencil. The texture had to be curly but also frizzy. Like Type 3B, hair needs moisture as curls are often prone to dryness.

Type 4 brings together spiral and compact curly hair, with less defined curls. It is hair that tends to be fragile and dry, so it needs a lot of attention. Hair of this type tends to grow skyward. They require more care because due to their shape the sebum flows more difficult to the ends. It is therefore necessary to treat them well with deep hydration.

RECOMMENDED RANGE: ULTRA-RICH and PERFECT CURLS

Type 4A Type 4B Type 4C
The hair is very curly even frizzy. The curls/frizz are very tight like little springs. The hair is fine and supple, but also fragile and dry. Without oil and moisturizer hair will lack curl definition, making it more vulnerable to dryness.
Type 4B is quite fragile and dry, the hair is fine, here it is not S-shaped curls that we will find, but Z-shaped curls. Generally this type of hair offers significant volume and lightness . They must be kept hydrated to avoid dryness, knots and to prevent breakage.
It is fine and fragile hair, with very tight Z-shaped curls. It is hair that tends to grow very slowly and lose 75% of its length when dry. This hair may appear dense and thick, but in reality it is often fine and susceptible to breakage.
